U16 FINALE TOURNAMENT starts on Thuesday in Jastrzebie-Zdrój, Poland.

In Final should to participate 7 best teams from both groups. Unfotunatelly, will be only 4 of them. Those will be added with 3 guest teams, to have final round with 7 teams.

"Given the situation of the war in Ukraine, we are used to the fact that not everything is going according to our plans. Two rounds of "blue" group couldn´t be played in full schedule. Also now, in the final round, we have to improvise a bit," said Peter Kločanka, director of CJHL.

In Finale we will see teams qualified from "red" group. HC Žalgiris Kaunas, Kryzhynka Kyiv and JKH GKS Jastrzebie-Zdrój. From "blue", only MMKS Podhale Nowy Targ. 

The best team of the blue group, SDUSSHOR Kharkov, was also supposed to come, but in the end it didn't work out. As you already know, team came for 2.round to Debrecen when war started. Since that time there stayed in Poland (Sanok) and participated also in third round in Nowy Targ.

"All team moved to Norway 3 weeks ago. I was in daily contact with Igor (Igor Visnievsky, coach). They wanted to come, but at this time, they are still waiting for the end of immigration process in Norway, so team cannot travel," explained the situation director of CJHL.

As mentioned above, qualified teams will be added by 3 guest teams. Pilsen Wolves (Czech republic), MHA Martin (Slovakia) and Tyskie Lwy Tychy (Poland). Czech team is a member of CJHL, but due to fact that played only in first round, didn´t matchhed enough points to qualified to Final.

"Due to fact, that we have also guest teams in Final, we will award teams as in two separate tournaments. All teams will play for title "Winner of the Final tournament", but only 4 qualified teams can become CJHL Champions," closed Peter Kločanka.

Finale tournament will be played by round-robin system. After 21 games we will know Winner of the Finale round as well as CJHL Champion. Teams playing for Champion, will start Final round with bonification points according their standings after 3.round. HC Žalgiris Kaunas (3 points), Kryzhynka Kyiv (2), MMKS Podhale Nowy Targ (2) and JKH GKS Jastrzebie-Zdrój (1). This points will be not taken into consideration in final standings of the Finale tournament, so guest teams wll be not disadvantaged.
