At the time when the CJHL participants fight for points in their own home competitions and slowly start to think about the second CJHL round, that will take place in Polish Sanok November 25th - 27th, the League management already works on the season 2017/2018.
League management presented its targets for the season 2017/2018 to the club representatives already during the League Presidium session in Michalovce, August 25th. As main targets were defined: the creation of other competition in different age category and enlargement of number of clubs in existing category. Furthermore, official letter sent by hockey school "Kryžinka" Kiev, in which "Kryžinka" Kiev declares its official interest in participating of its teams in CJHL competitions in next season, was presented to the present club representatives.
Enlargement of number of participants in U18 category (actually it is U16 category) remains priority. Our target is to raise up not only as to the quantity but also as to the quality. That is why clubs from the Czech Republic, especially those close to Slovak and Polish borders, were addresses to as first. On the basis of their feedback, the meeting with hockey club HC Oceláři Třinec was realised. CJHL project was presented to the Club manager of juniors teams as well as to the head coach of 2001-2003 age category. Both gentlemen have evaluated our project very positively, unfortunately, they cannot participate in our competition with age category we are interested in because of the high busyness of players lots of whom, along with the club duties, participate also in Czech national junior teams actions.
Next work meeting took place in a small town Brumov-Bylnice, hockey club and hockey academy HC Brumov-Bylnice (Hockey club BBSS). U14 and U12 teams of HC BBSS play in youth leagues, U18 participate in regional league. Due to the objective reasons this team does not belong among the leading Czech teams, nevertheless bigger clubs manifest their interest in its players, which reflects a good coaching work. The meeting with HC BBSS president, Mr. Jaroslav Vaněk, took place September 28th on the hockey arena in Brumov-Bylnice. During the meeting JUDr. Vaněk was acquainted with CJHL project, its operation, membership conditions and plans for next seasons. He had a lot of questions about the project which confirms his true interest. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Jaroslav Vaněk thanked for having contacted his club with this interesting and perspective project. At the same time he was pleased with the CJHL interest in having a longterm cooperation with the HC BBSS club. The cooperation which he has confirmed for the season 2017/2018.
Given these facts, the CJHL management has decided to invite Mr. Vaněk as a special guest for the CJHL Presidium session taking place during the second round of CJHL in Sanok, Poland. We believe that during this meeting all matters concerning start of a Czech team in CJHL in 2017/2018 will be solved and that we can together look forward to the HC BBSS team participating in our competition.
