HOW WAS 2021?

New Year, 2022, is here. But how was the previous one? How did Carpathian Junior Hockey League in 2021? Season 2020/2021 has been marked by coronavirus pandemic and was played just on regional level. Anyhow, more then 240 CJHL games were played. Season was finished in August. Next season, 2021/2022, began in October.

So, what happend in 2021? Let´s look on it, date by date ...

January, 12-13.
U16 POLAND QUALIFICATION GROUP, 2.round, Sanok

February, 3.
Due to changes in Covid rules in Poland, third round of both groups, U14 and U16, had to be postponed.

February, 13.
2. INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY MOTHER´S DAY

An idea to establish International Hockey Mother´s Day came in 2020. First was celebrated on February 8.,2020, during the third round of Carpathian Junior Hockey League. On three different places; Debrecen, Michalovce and Jastrzębie-Zdrój; met representatives of CJHL with more than 100 hockey mothers ... second we couldn´t celebrated together with moms, but we hope that all players were think of them.

February, 24-26.
U14 UKRAINIAN QUALIFICATION, FINAL ROUND

11 teams participated in U14 Ukrainian Qualification. Teams were divided into two groups. Two rounds were played inside both groups and 3 best teams from each group met in Ukrainian Final in Kharkov, on February 24-26. Sokil-2007 Kyiv as a winner of U14 Ukrainian Qualification, and Kryzhynka-2007 Kyiv from second place, were nominated to CJHL Final.

March, 15.
U12 UKRAINIAN QUALIFICATION

10 teams of category 2009/2010 competed in CJHL U12 Ukrainian Qualification. Teams were divided into 2 groups, in both groups 2 rounds were played. Due to lack of time, final round was cancelled. To U12 CJHL Finale tournament were nominated winners of both groups, SDUSSHOR-2009 (Kharkiv) and Morski Vovky-2010 (Odessa).

March, 19-21.
2020/2021 CJHL FINALE TOURNAMENT U12

7 teams arrived to Nowy Targ in Poland, to compete for the first Carpathian Junior Hockey League trophy of 2020/2021 season. Home team, MMKS Podhale Nowy Targ, as the best Polish team of MILAN CUP 2020. SDUSSHOR Kharkiv and Morski Vovky Odessa as the winners of two Ukrainian Qualification groups. Invitation for FINALE TOURNAMENT was also accepted by 4 teams from Czech Republic. Pilsen Wolves (blue and gray), Stasa Team and Pražský Výběr (Prague Select). Stasa Team became a Winner of Finale Tournament. Silver medals took SDUSSHOR Kharkiv, bronze went to Pražský Výběr.

March, 28.
FINALE TOURNAMENT U14 

CJHL 2020/2021 Finale Tournament U14 was scheduled on April, 1-3., in Sanok. According to restrictions of Poland government valid from March 27., this tournament had to be postponed.

April, 22.
END OF THE SEASON

U16 Finale Tournament (scheduled on April, 16-18.) was cancelled as well as U14. CJHL Board of directors decided to finished the season 2020/2021. Anyhow, plan to finish season in summer, was still on the table.

June, 8.
2021/2022 TEAMS INTRODUCTION

In June, Carpathian Junior Hockey League started with introduction of participating teams of 2021/2022 season. 39 teams joined CJHL in 4 age categories in actual season.

August, 25-27.
2020/2021 CJHL FINALE TOURNAMENT U16

CJHL management decided to finish 2020/2021 in August. 6 teams met in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. Two best teams from Ukrainian Qualification (Dynamo Dnipro and SDUSSHOR Kharkiv), two teams from Poland Qualification (STS UKS Niedzwiadki MOSiR Sanok, JKH GKS Jastrzębie-Zdrój) and two invited teams. HC Lvi Břeclav from Czech republic and Poland national team U16. DYNAMO DNIPRO became a Champion of 2020/2021 U16 CJHL.

August, 29-31.
2020/2021 CJHL FINALE TOURNAMENT U14

Five teams from Ukrainian and Poland Qualifications competed for title of CJHL Champion in Nowy Targ. Two best teams from Ukraine, Kryzhynka and Sokil Kyiv, together with Czech Pilsen Wolves and polish best teams MMKS Podhale Nowy Targ and JKH GKS Jastrzębie-Zdrój. JKH GKS Jastrzębie-Zdrój became a Champion of 2020/2021 U14 CJHL.

October, 1-3.
BEGINING OF 2021/2022 SEASON

Season 2021/2022 began in Sanok. 5 teams of U14 category, "white" group, met there. Team Partizan Beograd, cannot arrived to Sanok, because of Covid cases in their team.

October, 8-10.
CJHL U16, "BLUE" GROUP, 1.ROUND

12 teams from 7 countries confirmed their participation in this age category of CJHL. Teams are divided into two groups. One of them, "blue", met in Nowy Targ, October 8-10.

October, 29-31.
CJHL U14 "GREEN" GROUP, 1.ROUND

CJHL U12, 1.ROUND

In the end of October, 42 CJHL games were played. Youngest category of CJHL met in Krynica-Zdrój. U14 teams in Jastrzebie-Zdrój.

November, 19-21.
CJHL U16 "RED" GROUP, 1.ROUND

Next 6 teams of U16 category started their CJHL season in Jastrzebie-Zdrój. We welcomed HS Riga (Latvia) as a guest team.

December, 3-5.
CJHL U18, 1.ROUND
CJHL U14  "WHITE" GROUP, 2.ROUND

After first, not successful try, scheduled on October 1-3., U18 teams finally met in Sanok. 7 teams from 5 country played there 21 great games in three days. "White" group of U14 met in Nowy Targ. 

December, 17-19.
CJHL U12, 2.ROUND

Nowy targ hosted U12 category. We welcomed a new CJHL member. CSM Dunarea Galati from Romania joind U12 group and will continue in competition tiill the end of the season.

December, 26-28.
CJHL U16 "RED" GROUP, 2.ROUND

Last CJHL event in 2021 was held in Nowy Targ. Home team MMKS Podhale, as a guest team, hosted teams of "red" group. Second round was without Pilsen Wolves. Czech team didn´t arrived due to illness in the team.
