THE TENTH SEASON OF CJHL

The tenth, jubilee season of Carpathian Junior Hockey League starts on Friday (August, 29) in Nowy Targ, Poland. Teams of Carpathian Junior Hockey League will this season compete in 3 age categories. As the first will begin the season the oldest, category U17.

In Nowy Targ we will welcome teams from 5 countries. Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Norway. "It could be more "colourful", but coach of Ukrainian team didn´t got permission to travel abroad. We contacted team from Krynica-Zdrój and we are happy that even they didn´t have too much time for their decission, they will come as a seventh team," stated Peter Kločanka, CJHL director. As we already informed you on CJHL Facebook, we will welcome as a guest team Norwegian Stavanger Oilers.

"Yes, we are pleased that we can have in our event team from Norway. Lets say its not usual for teams from Norway to come to this part of Europe for hockey tournaments. I must say, that communication with team manager, Christer Thomassen, was very serious since beginning. I think he worked very hard since our first contact on August 4. Team will arrive by two planes, from Oslo and from Copenhagen. This also proves, that he did maximum for their coming to Nowy Targ," explained the circumstances of the arrival of the special guest Peter Kločanka. During three days, 21 games are on schedule. Games will be available online on CJHL YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
