WILL NIEDZWIADKI SET A NEW RECORD?
The third round of the CJHL U15 is scheduled for the upcoming weekend in Sanok, Poland. We will see 21 games over the course of three days. Teams from Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania and Hungary will fight for the best possible placement before the final tournament. However, one of the games will be special!
The home team, Niedzwiadki Sanok, will try to attempt attendance record for the Carpathian Junior Hockey League! They will try to do so in the Saturday evening game against HC Dnipro 2011. The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
The first attempt for CJHL spectators record took place in the 2019/2020 season. Three clubs took part. HK Halytske Levy Novojavorivsk, Niedzwiadki Sanok and Debreceni Hokiklub competed remotely to see who could attract the most spectators to the stadium.
Victory was celebrating in Ukraine! The winning match between the home team Halytske Levy Novojavorivsk and the Lithuanian "Baltu Ainiai" Kaunas (5:4) was watched by 275 spectators. The match between Niedzwiadki and Kryzhynka Kiyv (the home team lost 3:4) in Sanok was attended by 260 and in Debrecen, it was 150 (Debreceni Hokiklub-Niedzwiadki Sanok 4:0).
An attempt to break the record was made in the 2024/2025 season. It was on 2024, November 23. The second round of CJHL U15 was scheduled in Krynica-Zdrój. The home club KTH Krynica-Zdrój attracted to arena 350 spectators. Even if they watched lost of their team against Kárpáti Farkasok (1:4), it was great event for all people there. And the new spectators record on CJHL game was set!
In the same season, there was one more try to break the record. During the third round of CJHL U15 in Prievidza, 330 spectators watched the game between MŠHK Prievidza and Legia Warszawa (1:2). So the record from Krynica-Zdrój remained unbroken... will be still actual after upcoming weekend?
